Try harder to be yourself...

Hi guys!

And can I say, what a hectic week it has been here in West London. Facebook crashes, have to go through six layers in total of security measures, that I have no sense of at all, but thanks to my son, I was able to do so. Why would Facebook want to know my phone number at all?

I see from the people who've added me on Google+ that some people are budding young bassists, having watched me and being interested in the whole thing of forming bands and playing music. Good luck with that, but remember to take a break now and again. Wearing a heavy Fender on your shoulder can leave permanent strain. Unfortunately I was a victim of that, but it's alright now as I don't play that often now I'm not in a band any more. Please don't try to be me. It may have tragic consequences on your mental, physical and social abilities.

Take care,
John

Throw-back Friday.

Hello once again guys!

How are you doing? I bet you're happy that the kids are going back to school next week and you can finally have time to yourself instead of being messed around all the time. Well, I am, anyway, regardless if all my children are grown up or not. Today I just did what I normally did, had a look round Facebook at who'd done what and seen what I'd been tagged in, blah blah blah. Most of those photos were old, some even in black and white from my childhood salad days, and where the heck did they get them from? Did they rob my mother's house in the dead of night?

Later on some fan tagged me in this photo. On the left, it had me with the very unflattering brown wavy hair I had back in 1975, and the right, me in 1991. To be honest, she should have done a mid point of me in 1981 with that horrible sticky up ginger afro, which now looking back, I thought was quite hideous. You should hear some of those ladies on Facebook. Teddy Deaky. Well I never! Being quite flattered at the time, I added it as my alternative name.

Okay, got to get gone now. Will be back on tomorrow with a special happy birthday post for the missus.

Take care,
John

Happy Easter to the Fans

Hello fans!

Can't believe it's Easter once more. It seems like yesterday that Christmas happened, and we were gorging our faces on turkey and practically blowing up the pudding, which I barely took a bite from. Didn't get much chocolate this year, so maybe that's why I'm jealous of the missus. Ugh! Sorry folks. I'm really shattered from this morning's service, seemed to drone on and on, so it looks like this is going to be a shorter post than normal. Anyway, some fan sent me this amusing photo this morning. Who would want to leave their choccie bunnies in the oven anyway? I would, to save me smashing them. Makes an awful mess.

Take care,
John

It's been to long to be true...

Hello Audience!

Bold out of curiosity the other day, I just randomly googled photos of myself, to see what the whole thing of searching is about these days. Half of the photos I found were of many other John Deacons, half of them I don't even know, even when I added 'Queen' to my search. I've also heard ridiculous rumours that I'm dead! The shame on those people!  I really liked this photo from a page called the John Deacon Fan Club on Facebook, who do a really good job. They posted this as a warning to those who thought I was dead. What do you lot think? I really really want to get in touch with one of the page admins about this seriously cool logo they have. I guess it's supposed to show me off, tragically. But it's OK. Queen fans will be Queen fans.

I bet some of you haven't seen my new profile picture on Google+ yet. Well, please 1D it if you like it! As I said before, Queen fans will be Queen fans!

Talk to you soon, and keep on rocking!
Deaky

P.S. Have been listening to a few tribute bands associated with Queen on YouTube. You guys rock! x (to girls)

In Answer To A Few Questions...

Hello audience!

It's been ages since I last shared something so I thought I'd do it now to get it out of the way.

Now, many of you people have been getting in touch with me asking me if I ever wanted to get back with Brian and Roger and start a reformation of Queen again. In answer to your question, it is a possibility.  I'm still in touch with them, whenever I can be bothered to log into my emails and sort their emails from all the junk mail I'm getting these days.

Another question answered: Yes, I do still play the bass when I can, being in my sixties hasn't stopped me from doing this and having a good time playing in my mate's band round London. Think it's the Immortals or something like that. No, wait, that was in 1986 to produce a soundtrack for the film Biggles. I'm sorry I don't know anymore, my memory isn't what it used to be.

The other day I watched a film on YouTube, well it was a cartoon really called Searching For Deaky. I didn't half get the giggles at it. Would you seriously think I'd hide out in a cave on the summit of Mount Everest? It's quite impossible but if I gave away my location I'd have thousands of screaming fans after me!

I don't think you've noticed the drummer from Spandau Ballet go a bit insane with his Twitter. Rock God? Bah, he doesn't even deserve to be called a god. Let alone he hasn't done anything with Rock and Roll in his entire life. So I decided to talk to him and set things straight over a direct message on Twitter. And it seems he's gone quiet from it. Mission accomplished. Maybe it's time I went for someone else and see what I could do with them. Any suggestions?

Hope to see you again soon,
John

P.S. I apologize for the childish font on my blog. It was my youngest son who recommended that I chose it!

Watch Out for The Fake!

Hello once again fans!

Earlier I was telling you that you should watch out for Spandau Ballet's drummer John Keeble and his dark side, ie, acting like a deluded, sad, rock god. But today I wanted to talk about something completely different. Know the backing vocalist Gary Kemp (image of him with sideburns) had an imposter hot on his trail, which is also trying to help is take down Keeble? Well, here's his twitter. I highly recommend that you don't follow him, but you could if you wanted to. Please note the real Gary is on @garyjkemp. It's easy to tell the two apart because you just simply take the one off.

Tomorrow's post: What It Would Have Been Like if Freddie Was Still Alive (or something like that with a shorter title, haha)

Take care and bye for now,
John

Operation Feeble Keeble.

Hello fans!

I don't think you know, but if you've heard of the new romantic band Spandau Ballet, there's something you should know.

The drummer, John Keeble, see photo below, is well credited for his role in the band, but behind those cameras, he's more different than normal.

For example his Twitter name is @RockGod667. He probably couldn't have his name, like because there's millions of Keeble's out there. But rock god? No, he'll never be one, no matter how many times he acts or boasts like he's one. A fan got called a sad f**k from him. That's just how nasty he could be. So I'd ask you to watch out. So, me and some other guys are forming a plan to take him down eventually. Operation Feeble Keeble. You've probably heard of this and many other associations.

Take care,

John
